Author

Mariah spent her childhood hunting for faeries amidst the old hills of the Missouri Ozarks. She began telling stories to pass the time on her family’s farm, and she hasn’t stopped since. A former children’s librarian, she earned her MFA in Creative Writing & Media Arts and went on to collaborate with brilliant artists on graphic novel adaptations of classic children’s stories. She writes about the dreams and difficulties of girlhood, the wonders of places and spaces, and the ever-changing power of old stories. She’s still on the lookout for faeries.
